DDoS and web application attacks continue to be steadily increasing as the UK National Lottery reported it’s most recent attack on Saturday.  Saturday’s DDoS attack left thousands of lottery players unable to buy tickets and access the lottery’s front end website. The site was down for 90 minutes and while the true threat remains unknown, a group called “Phantom Squad” was rumored to be responsible after their recent threats on various world leading businesses.
This is the second cyber attack launched against the National Lottery in the past year.
